Dakota Central Board of Directors is pleased to announce the 24th year of the Dakota Central Scholarship Program, and the ninth year of the Jerry Eissinger Memorial Scholarship. This year Dakota Central will be awarding five $1,500 scholarships, as well as the $500 Jerry Eissinger Memorial Scholarship. The Jerry Eissinger Memorial Scholarship will be awarded to an individual with plans to attend a tech school or obtain a degree in a tech-related field. High School seniors have a chance to be awarded a total of $2,000 in scholarships!

Eligible applicants include graduating seniors whose parent(s) or guardian(s) use telephone, television, or Internet service from Dakota Central. The student must be planning to attend a college, university, vocational, or technical post-secondary school. Completed applications are due March 1, 2025.

The Foundation for Rural Service (FRS) offers an annual college scholarship program in which they award 30 one-time $2,500 scholarships to students from rural America for their first year of college, university, or vocational-technical school. Each year Dakota Central will sponsor students that wish to apply for the scholarship. If a student should be awarded the scholarship the FRS funds $2,000 of each scholarship, and Dakota Central awards the remaining $500.
